1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using O'Sanctus Parish Management System ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Platform.

These Terms apply to all users, including parishioners, priests, administrators, and parishes ("Users").

2. Platform Description

O'Sanctus is a parish management system that provides:

• 🏠 Parishioner registration and profile management
• ⛪ Mass booking and intention management
• 💝 Online donations and offerings processing
• 📅 Appointment scheduling with priests
• 📊 Parish analytics and reporting
• 🎂 Automated birthday messaging
• 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family tree management
• 📢 Announcements and reflections sharing

3. Parish Registration Requirements

To register a parish on our platform, the following conditions must be met:

• Parish Priest Consent: The Parish Priest must provide explicit consent for parish registration
• Verification: The Parish Priest's identity and authority must be verified
• Authorization: Only the Parish Priest or their designated representative can register the parish
• Accuracy: All parish information provided must be accurate and truthful
• Compliance: The parish must comply with all applicable laws and church regulations

Once registered, the Parish Priest can add other priests, administrators, and staff members to manage the parish on the platform.

4. User Accounts and Responsibilities

4.1 Account Creation

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account use
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4.2 User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Use the platform for any illegal purpose
• Harass, abuse, or harm another person
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Interfere with or disrupt the platform's operation
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts
• Upload malicious code or viruses
• Share inappropriate or offensive content

5. Financial Terms and Transactions

5.1 Platform Fees

The platform itself is FREE to use. However, transaction fees apply:

• Transaction Fee: ₦20 - ₦50 per transaction (depending on the transaction amount)
• Fee Purpose: Covers payment gateway charges, server costs, development, and support
• No Hidden Fees: All fees are clearly displayed before transaction completion
• Fee Changes: We may adjust fees with 30 days' notice

5.2 Payment Processing

All financial transactions are processed through PayStack, a secure payment gateway. By using our platform, you agree to PayStack's terms of service.

5.3 Bank Account Information

We collect and store bank account details to facilitate:

• Easy digital transfers for donations and offerings
• Quick payment processing for mass bookings
• Seamless reconciliation of parish funds

6. Data Usage and Communications

By using our platform, you expressly consent to:

• 🎂 Birthday Messages: Receiving automated birthday wishes from your parish
• 📊 Parish Analytics: Receiving parish community updates and analytics reports
• 📧 Platform Communications: Receiving important service announcements and policy updates
• 💝 Spiritual Content: Receiving reflections, prayers, and inspirational content

You can manage your communication preferences in your account settings. However, you cannot opt out of essential service communications.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality on the platform (including software, text, graphics, logos, and designs) are owned by O'Sanctus or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our platform without explicit written permission.

8. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of content you submit to the platform (e.g., prayer requests, reflections, family tree information). By submitting content, you grant O'Sanctus a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content for platform operations.

You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights.

9. Third-Party Services

Our platform integrates with third-party services, including:

• PayStack: Payment processing
• Email Services: Message delivery
• Cloud Hosting: Data storage

We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms.

10. Termination and Suspension

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the platform.

You may delete your account at any time through account settings or by contacting your parish administrator.

Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. We will delete your data within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, O'Sanctus shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount of fees paid by you (if any) during the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Nigeria.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes through:

• Email notification
• Platform notification
• Updated "Effective Date"

Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
